The following are considered violations of the dress code:                         

  • Full zip jackets without a shirt under the outerwear
  • Dresses that are tight and revealing
  • Clothing with language or images that are offensive or distracting
  • Any crop tops outside or underneath jackets, sweatshirts, or hoodies
  • Pants with holes and rips above extended finger-tip length (rips or holes below fingertip length are acceptable).
  • Running shorts made of mesh material, bike shorts (tight shorts), or swim trunks.
  • Pants that sag and reveal undergarments.
  • Leggings worn with shirts that do not cover past the extended finger-tip length or reveal midsection, torso, back, chest, cleavage, or underclothing.
  • Backless shoes, “Croc” style shoes, slides, house shoes, and flip-flops are prohibited
  • Head covering is not permitted except for a cap or hat that is part of a school uniform, school activity, or for a religious or medical purpose.
  • Hoods on hoodie sweatshirts are considered a head covering and may not be worn.Pajamas, blankets, sunglasses inside, and stuffed animals or prohibited

Remember:

  • Shorts or dresses must cover the back side and come down to student’s fingertips when hands are at their side.
  • Leggings/jeggings/tights can be worn if the shirt or dress covers the back side and comes down to student’s fingertips when hands are at their side.
  • All Secondary students, grades 6-12, shall wear a student ID badge, visible, on school-approved lanyards during the school day, at all spectating school events, and during after-school tutorial time.
  • CFISD requires all high school and middle school students to use clear backpacks. This does not include colored, tinted, or mesh backpacks. Students participating in campus-approved extracurricular activities can carry other bags to store their particular activity items. However, upon entry into the building, these bags must be stored in athletic lockers or designated areas. These bags may not be carried through the day but can be picked up after dismissal. Additionally, the maximum size for non-transparent bags that students can carry throughout the day can be no larger than 6”x9”x5”. Students can carry a secondary transparent bag if needed, but not more than two.
